Poker Room De Meaner

I know most of you have seem my poker room pics but here are a few new ones I took recently

This is what it looks like when we play. The main lights are off, the track lighting above the tables provide enough light to play and give the room a casino feel. Eventually I am going to paint the walls and find some kind of art, posters or something to put on the walls.

3rd table.

Tables 1 and 2, chip storage cabinet, service carts are next to the cabinet. Flyers on the wall are ads for my WSOP Satellite tournaments I am about to start running. I have PC on the cabinet that I use to run Tournametn Director. As you can see I have three tv's the two LCD on the wall display the same channel and the big screen can view another channel. We normally have a football, BB or Baseball game on the big screen and the WSOP playing on my tuesday night tournaments.

Tables 1 and 2

Tables 1 2 and 3

Re: Poker Room De Meaner

Meaner, you have GOT TO paint those walls and hang some sort of art...there is NO WAY I could play in that room without those additions.

Re: Poker Room De Meaner

Mr,
I think one of those walls would be perfect for a giant chip mosaic.

It might be nice to make a custom mosaic, using your custom chips.
If you're interested, you can send me scans of your chips (or I can probably find them where you posted them), and a nice graphics for the mosiac. Tell me your size requirements and I'll generate a mosaic for you.

What could I do with the mosaiac? Could I make some kind of sign or poster?

Exactly. I'd make a hulking .jpg or .tif file for you. You'd take that to someplace like Kinkos or other printer service and have a giant poster printed.

Re: Poker Room De Meaner

Let me see if I can get some scans of my chips. I don't have a scanner, will a camera pic work?

Sure, a camera will work great. In the end, each individual chip probably won't be more than 50 to 150 pixels or so (in diameter), so you don't need high resolution for the individual chips. Just take a nice picture of each one --- square on (so the chip is round in the picture). Get the highest resolution you can, of course, but in the end this isn't too critical.

Where a bit higher resolution is needed is for the overall picture that you want to be the image on the poster. Again, that doesn't need to be super duper resolution, since it ends up being rendered in pokerchips (or whatever you want for the cell images), but higher resolution is definitely better for this image.

I have a tripod at home and a 3.2mp camera. I think I can take some good pics. I'll take some this afternoon and send them to you. Capt, please send me your E-mail via PM.
