Well, I finally found some time to build my second table and think it turned out pretty good. Now my computer room is also going to be the poker room, but at least I can easily move the table when needed.
I noticed that your playing surface appears to be significantly higher than the racetrack surface. Is there some advantage to this? Most other tables I've seen have them level or very close to level with each other, which I would think makes it easier to slide chip stacks into play.
The island piece is about a 1/4 inch higher due to the foam under the fabric. I am thinking about making it level later, but for now I wanted to see how it works out as is. I pretty much ran out of time in making it level because we played a tourney last night and this is basically what I was able to get done.
