The first one took a few hours, because I had to:
a) record the chipsounds, slice out the best segments of those sounds
b) write a program to resample the sounds (I used Native Instruments Reaktor for this)
c) calibrate (tune) the pitches
d) create the .wav file (I used Cubase VST32 as a sequencer/recorder)
e) convert to .mp3

Once the first was done, it took about 15 minutes to create the second one.

I think it (Popcorn) was originally done by Herb Alpert in the 70's (who had done more themes than I would care to mention, "Spanish Flea" - The Dating Game is one) and was "remixed" in the 80's as a what we would now call techno if you had to give it a name.

Nicely done. Wish I had that kind of time.

I have two requests: "Ten Percenter" by Frank Black and "Debaser" by the Pixies. (just kidding, do more songs that people know...)
