Shuffling Bud Jones

I've been dying to have a stack of BJ chips to shuffle for a while. One of my buddies went to AC last week and brought me back a stack of the Borgata $1 Chips

I gotta tell you, I'm finding these TOUGH to shuffle. I can shuffle 2 stacks of 4-5 pretty easily, but shuffling 16 (which is my usual #) is a B**CH!

They are very slippery and the suction/magnetic effect of the chips makes everything that much tougher. I'm driving people around me at work crazy (they here my stack tumble every 30 minutes or so)

Any one agree, disagree, have tips?

I've never tried to shuffle BJ's but, where do you work that you can shuffle chips while there?

Caesars Palace

....j/k

I work for a mortgage company chock-full of twenty-something sales guys with testosterone oozing from their pores, shuffling chips is the least disruptive thing that happens in my office on a daily basis.

Re: Shuffling Bud Jones

They are definitely difficult to shuffle at first. Once you spend some more time with them it eventually gets easier.

Since the Bud Jones are a very uniform, smooth plastic mold, it makes sense they would want to stick together.
I only have one Borgata chip, so I can only tell you one thing for certain. IT's BEAUTIFUL !

Re: Shuffling Bud Jones

I have a very hard time shuffling bud jones chips, comparitively speaking.

There must be *some* trick, but I'm not sure exactly what it is.... Usually I have no problem shuffling chips but I always fumble the first few when ever I go to Bay101 (which has BJ). After about an hour or two, my brain figures something out, b/c I can all of a sudden do it much easier, but I'm not sure what is different... next time I'll pay more attention.

I have to say, I've noticed the slippery/suction thing and it makes me not really like the BJ chips. (One of my first posts on this board earned be an admonishment about this actually - I was asked "How can the chips be slippery AND stick together - you're just whining.") I have a hard time contolling my stack with the BJ.

If I figure out the trick, I'll let you know.
