2+2 chip stacks -- a challenge

Had my Pharaohs up to 280.

Made the mistake of stacking BEFORE Id brought down my digi.

Ran upstairs to grab it, only to hear the sound of 280 pharoahs crashing/splashing around on my kitchen floor.

DOH!

Tips:
Rack the chips before stacking them, as this leaves you with a perfectly smooth stack, which is key of course.

My 280 stack used pre-racked stacks of 20.

Try stacks of 10 at a time instead......and have your dang camera on hand and ready to go!

I really wish I had got a picture of it, and may have to do it again just to get one, but I had all 600 Samurai Palace chips I ordered stacked from the floor. Wobbly as hell, but didn't fall. Now that they aren't quite as sharp not sure what the results would be.

I did 400 with my BJ chips and I could go a little higher if the conditions are just right. Next time after 400 I will start going a couple chips higher each time instead of blocks of 20. This is where the stack will stay intact for any length of time without crashing.

There is a reason BJ will stack to the moon, they are one of the flatest chips made. Paulson's don't stand a chance to stack 300+ because they aren't 100% flat. Other things to consider is weight and how the weight of the chips are distributed. I think the Super Diamonds have a chance to stack extremely high. Being a light chip might be an advantage.

You are right I counted as 25 not 20.
Did this awhile ago and forgot how high then I saw this thread and dug up the photo.

I know I got a 300 pic somewhere but it doesn't matter now need over 400.

You might make 300 if you're lucky, as you already know by now Chipco's won't stack but so high because of the spinners. Might be interesting if no spinners are used. Looks like from that old thread RT plastics could be a threat, never owned them so I don't know.
