I'm getting back into the label mode and wanting to come up with something that reminds me of my chip collection. Since I have a bunch of Hard Rock chips I thought I'd do up a mock up of some Hard Rocks for my NexGens. What do you think? These would be almost actual size.
Nice design, but do you need to say "Las Vegas, Nevada" on the bottom of the label, when it is already part of the mold around every one of that style NexGen chip?
That might be a good spot to put a denomination or different info into like a slang ("Up all night") or saying ("Where the cash meets the sand"...) whatever... Just seems a little redundant to me is all.
Other than that I think you have found a nice design that works with every color chip you have and does not distract from the main chip color at all.

I agree they look nice. What about playin' with a gradient behind the guitar to match chip color.

Great look, yes the color matched gradients look much better.
The outer ring will be very tough to print, though, and will distort the current symmetry which makes the design look so nice.... In other words, the top of your ring might be 1/16th" while the bottom is 1/4".... all depends on alignment and the best laser printer is gonna shift somewhat, as well as the actual label sheets will not be perfectly cut to match each other.
If you do try the thin border (or a "near the edge" outer ring of text), you might consider having someone print these that uses a machine to cut out the labels after printing them.
That looks cool. The purple chip edge gradient color looks off.
I think you'd have a problem with that black ring also... what about just bleeding the gradient & color to the edge and possibly the guitar??
