That's the conclusion I arrived at as well. I'm going with labels from Jason (www.pokerchiplabels.net) instead of hotstamping.

Well, that's going to take even more effort. But in the long run, you might like the results better. On the other hand, I've used hot stamped chips for over 25 years, and it was only recently that some of the younger players expressed an interest in chips with edgespots and color inlays. Worse part of the whole thing is that they prefer a set of labeled RPT Nexgens to a set of hotstamped plain Paulsons

I am one of those that will like a well labelled set of NexGens over a set of hotstamped Paulson. I just don't like hot stamped chips.
