I know that some people are interested in custom shaped chip labels. I decided against them for myself but I thought I would pass on what I've learned so that others might benefit.

The guy at www.bestpokerchiplabels.com said that they can do a scalloped shaped label for a setup charge of $50. The regular printing fees would apply after that. I'm sure other shapes are the same cost but you might want to talk to them to confirm.

This might be good for someone that missed the group buy that Jason had for the shaped labels from rippedsheets.

Yeah I talked with him about shapes as well before we placed the order and he also charges another $10 per color for any colors over 4 so things can really add up with him. I got some of his samples and they seemed like a nice label except for the fact that they felt like a peel and stick label that would eventually fall off.

No...nothing to do with them. I just came across them in my search for labels. Jason never got back to me so I had to try and find something.

I also noticed in some other posts that some people would ask questions about that site but no one would answer the posts. Just trying to provide as much information as I can.... that's what we are here for right? To help each other out.

It looks like he uses the same type of setup we use in my Air Force squadron. If he uses the same type of vinyl, I wouldn't worry much about them coming off...we put the vinyl on fighter jets, and it can take up to a year before it shows signs of wear...and that's on an airplane that is out in the weather and flies at 400mph regularly....

My only question is why does his cost go up after 4 colors? We use 4 color process foils...What that means, for anyone who isn't familiar with the printing process, is that there are 4 color cartridges we use (Yellow, Red, Blue, and Black). The printer prints one color at a time, and then resets for the next color. The four color process can make up any of the pantone standard colors....so, I don't know why he would charge more for more colors....Unless he uses spot colors (A seperate colored cartridge for each individual color).
