Chips: 1,728 | | I've seen their site, but never heard of anyone who has used them. I'm a little dubious as they claim to use a commercial plotter, which tends to be not much more than a larger format inkjet printer (we have one at work.) And they do print photographic images very well, but then so will many home inkjet printers these days.
But I do use the vinyl laser labels that used to be available from onlinelabels.com (Consolidated Label) in FL. I much prefer them to paper based labels for their durability and ease of use (though they can be a bear to get off the backing sheet sometimes.) They're also much easier to remove in one piece if you decide to change your label design or logo. The weatherproof vinyl label has been replaced with a weatherproof poly label, but I haven't tried any of those. Overall, I'd prefer to go with a vinyl label (they do cost about 2.5x as much as paper), though I would prefer to do them myself, since I wouldn't necessarily be limited to using images that aren't copyrighted. I'll try to link you to some pictures once I get the labels and get them applied. | |

| I received a sample of the labels also and have put them through some abuse (scratching and wetting) for the last few weeks with no sign of wear. I would be interested in hearing your comments on the overall quality including the accuracy of the print registration of the labels once you receive your order. From the time you submit your artwork, how long before they ship? |

Chips: 4,436 | | | I'm in the process of designing some labels for myself with Jason right now.
He has been simply outstanding in terms of design ideas, ability, and tolerating the evolution of my ideas as I've made several changes. |

Chips: 35 | | | A friend had some done by Lynbark and they came out great. He did them fast and shipped fast. I Now want a few sets done for my self and was going to try to use Jason's (figured now that I am a board member keep it in the house) I have see on the board some of his stuff and also thought he would do a great job. My only problem is that i have tried to contact Jason for over a week with PM and Email with no reply. Lynbark returned the email within a few hrs. So it looks like i will use him. I do like Jason's work so when I need more I will try him again hope he could help me then. As for who is the best I think both can do great work the only thing that edged out Lynbark over Jason was response to my emails.

Mike | It's possible Jason was on vacation or away. When he designed my labels, his response was lightning fast. He sent me several mockups in super fast time and was patient with my tweaking and design changes and had great ideas. Once you get a hold of him, you'll realize how efficient and professional Jason is. |

Just one thing I must make clear.. I am NOT trying to Bash Jason, I do intend to try to use him. the work I have see is great,I was just giving my opinion to the person who stated this post. I also have noticed post's from him over the past few days and still no response. I beleive in Keeping the money in the board so my first choice is Jason. I could not get in contact with him. If he responds to any of the PM's or Emails before I get them done by Lynbark , I am still willing to give the work to him.( So Jason if you read this answere your PM'S or Emails.) |

Chips: 1,580 | | In all fairness, Jason typically is very reponsive and does create nice designs.. I'm pretty certain he is away for an extended time (vacation, or otherwise).

Chips: 11,407 | | | I've gotten labels from both Jason & Lynbark. Since they both provide more than adequate correspondence, and are open to working closely on designs, it comes down to personal preference. I will note that my labels were designed by me, so their only job was printing, which was done flawlessly by both and delivered in an extremely timely manner. I found the colour to be a little more consistent from sheet to sheet with Lynbark, but Jason's printer might have been near the end of a toner cycle. You won't be dissapointed by either party.

Chips: 216 | | I think I have to agree with everyone, you cant go wrong with either of us, I think Lynbark may be a better artist than me but I think we both do great work in a timely manner when we can. As Lynbark said there are times where we cant always reply within a timely manner whether it be vacation time or (in my case recently) having some bone or organs removed or having large gashes being made in your nuts! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
