RPT Label Feedback

Here's a set of labels that I was going to have done for a set of NexGen RPT chips. I just wanted to get some opinions on them before getting them made. The colored border will be a little smaller on the final version.

Thanks...

They look great to me. I can't wait to see pictures of the final product.

Just curious; what program did you use to create them?

I don't think the colored border is adding anything to the design. It just looks messy, IMHO. The rest looks fine.

I used Paint Shop Pro...and had some ideas and help from Jason (Cin0s3). He pasted the art onto the chips for a mockup for me too.

i agree and disagree. the border is what anchors it with the specific denom. but i do agree that it doesn't look quite right. maybe if it were less busy on the border...

dunno.

It will definately be smaller (thinner). I printed a test with a 1/8" border, a 3/16" border and a 1/4" border. The samples shown probably have a border that is even a little bigger than 1/4". It'll be 3/16" in the final...more like it is in the blowup of the 25, but it's hard to compare since they're not the same size.

The other thing I wasn't sure about was how to handle the single spot chips. The two spot chips do well with the border...on the single spot chips I used the chip color and the spot color.

I may try reducing the number of times that the patern repeats...especially on the single spot chips.

I don't think that the colors will be quite a vibrant when printed either...especially the blue chip. It really pops out on the screen...but it's a little more subdued when printed.

I like the 25 cents design without the border. It looks a lot nicer.

I think they look fine the way they are. I also agree the colored border helps tie the lables in with the chip edge-spots. If you want to change the size of the border to make the center larger, that may work better, but I would keep the basic design the way it is.
