Chips: 47 | | | The New Paulsons and custom labels Has anyone attempted putting a custom label on any of the new paulson chips? I got a sample, and that pvc cover peels right off once you get it started, and the underlay is on there like a madman. I have Scandia chips, and I'm contemplating getting some of the new blue, white, and orange chips and putting a label on it thats a copy of the scandia label, only in $.25, .50, and $1000 denoms... obviously want to know if anyones tried it b4 I lay the cash out on whats basically expensive knockoffs. |

Chips: 111 | | | From what I read here on this site, it should be no problem. |

Chips: 1,037 | | | I'd be very interested to know if these are customizable as well?
I know you can label any chip out there, but is the recession deep enough to house the label under the top of the chip? |

Chips: 572 | | | Actually, a 1 inch label fits very well on the Paulson JB's.
No point in removing the PVC overlay. |

Chips: 1,728 | | | Re: The New Paulsons and custom labels If you're referring to the Trademark Paulson's I don't think there is much room for a label in the incused area, at best, you'd probably have to compromise and use a 3/4" label and you'll end up with part of the original sticker showing through. You might want to try it on one of the James Bond Paulsons from dice702. The recessed area on those chips will accommodate a 1" label with a little room to spare, and you can put it right over the existing inlay. (suggest a vinyl label, they're more durable and easier to get off.) Quote: |

Chips: 47 | | | The pvc was surprisingly thick...I don't have the correct tools to measure it, but it looks to be in the area of 1/2 a mm...I was thinking I'd probably have to double layer the inlay that remains to minimixe the "ridge" thats left behind. I hate the standard inlay on the grand inlay chips that the apache site is selling (and we had an issue, so he probably wo't sell them to me anyway), so I'll definitely be attempting it on the Trademarks if I can get them cheap enough. If worse comes to worse, I'll probably get the pre-sell clay egyptions from holdempokerchips.com--they're pre-selling them for a buck apiece. They've come up witha nice design, but damn that pvc cover sucks..... Does anyone have calipers that can properly measure the inlay on the trademarks? |

Chips: 12,758 | | | I am speechless: this would be like buying a brand-new BMW and then immediately having it repainted by Earl Scheib.

Chips: 303 | | | Hmm... if someone had a milling machine or a good drill press, and was industrious in tool making, one could conceivably alter the inlay area to whatever they wanted...
