'Database' of chips with recesses or successful labelling

Great new category for the site. It helps the people who want cool looking chips but can't afford $1+customs (yet) and people like me who can afford $1+customs but just can't make up their minds and like seeing other peoples' custom labels.

I suggest that we make a sticky post for this category with a list of chips that have recesses and are good for labelling. Maybe also have THUMNAILS of labelled chips so people can have a quick reference to various examples of labelled chips.

This is probably better handled by a moderator than me, however, as I don't have chips to post photos of and my knowledge of chips with recesses isn't great.

Anyone want to run with this idea?

Do those accept the same labels as the Nexgens? If I order from Jason, will the labels work out as good as the ones in your avatar?

@Jason: Do you have the Photoshop color hex codes for these chip bodies and edgespots? I'm seriously considering making a cash game set with these, I'm planning on doing my own shoppery, and I want them to match perfectly.

Those chips are dirt cheap on ebay, and you can get a sample set shipped for only a few dollars. PM me if you want details. I have alot of those chips and am very happy with them.

Yes, the accept the 1" labels. I used vinyls for mine. The only 'issue' I had was that the inlay is like exactly 1". Some of my labels I didn't get seated perfect on the first edge and it caused the other side to ride up the recess a bit. What happens then is you see the white edge of the label, which is slightly noticeable especially if your labels are colored all the way to the edge to match the chip. (like mine) A steady hand and some patience would avoid this, and I must say that although I wish the inlay had some 'leeway' when the labels are put in perfect it makes them look really good (by contrast the Nexgens have a good bit of extra space and slightly cheapens the look IMO)

I would recommend having the chips on hand prior to printing your labels, as colors between batches is fairly inconsistent (The reds I received vs the red in my sample pack were extremely different, almost a rust colored...)

I successfully applied labels to my 11.5G Dice chips. They don't have recessed centers, but the labels still look pretty nice.

EDIT: I got an error message and refreshed. Sorry I posted three times.

I just got sample sets of:

- 13 gram recessed pro clays
- original nexgens
- WPT nexgens

The free sample 1' labels from I got from onlinelabels.com fit perfectly on all three types.

On the 13gram proclays the labels do cover the dotted marks on the far outter edge of the recessed inlay. (which I think is a good thing).

I really like the proclays feel, weight, but I don't like the black/pink chip.

The nexgens have better color options but the quality is pretty close to the large set of "double suited" plastic 11.5gram chips I already have.

I WISH there was a better option for applying you own custom labels!
If there was a more clay chip, with good edge spots, chip color combos, I'd be VERY interested!

hehe
