some test to renovate parker s chips...

i received some parker form jim last week...
Great chips, but i don t need those denom and i alway s have fun making new crazy experience on chips..

first step: remove the labels...very easy, a few seconds for each chips...the labels is in two parts, the stickers and a plastic circle...

second step: i have used olive oil to renew the plastic..i have read somewhere that it was very efficient to renew old plastic...it works very well, no smell...

step 3: put the labels on

step 4: made new plastic circle using a "punch" and adhésive transparent paper..

that s all, i m very happy from the result, i can now work on the labels design...

Nice job but one question - does olive oil make the plastic sticky and start to smell after a while?

i have hardly wiped the chip..i know mineral oil are not good for clay chips, but i don t think i will have any problèms with plastic chips...i will tell you...

Sounds & looks great so far. What type of a hole punch are you using to cut the new clear plastic/paper circle inserts?

Re: some test to renovate parker s chips...

i have used a punch for scrapbooking for 1" circle..very easy to found, i paid 6€ for it, saddly it is out of serve after only 20 circke f..chinese punch..

i will ask to jason from personnal poker chips if he can use his printer to do it for me in the same time than the labels...

i try parafine oil to clean the chips..i never used paraphine oil on plastic chips, but it seems to work very well too on this BJ chips...

Will be interested in how this goes, please keep us updated on your progress. I think the BJ's are the best chip for relabeling. I may be trying to do a small set from my Parkers as well.

you should never use any kind of vegetable oil on chips, it turns rancid over time. Mineral oil only.
