hello all,
I was just wondering how the pro's went about making labels for their client's. I am guessing that they use photoshop and a special program that allows them to print on the labels. Am I correct in my assumption?? Thanks.

most professional printers- us included- use wide format hi end printers that print 30-60 inches wide. The images are then laminated - for a quality product- some DONT laminate- but the images are laminated- then sent to a cutter that precisely cuts the image to whatever the cut specifications are- usually to within .001 inch tolerence
Then they are applied to the chip.
THe best lamination in our opinion is polycarbonate- its heavy, virtually indestructable- albeit with SLIGHT image degradation and its not appropriate on some chips as it CAN effect the stackability of the chip.
For casino chips- the image is pressed INTO the chip when the material is still hot- under pressure- and a bond takes place. Usually you can see the mold striations come through the image- and the image cannot be removed.
