Chips: 624 | | | Oil before/after labels? I've got my labels on the way but in the meantime I'd like to oil the set that the labels are for. Should I or should I not oil the chips before applying the labels?? Worried that (1) if I oil before, labels won't stick as well.(2) If I oil after, oil damages labels. Thoughts? |

I oiled 5 chips just to humor myself and I really liked the effect, color is much more vibrant etc. |

Chips: 1,084 | | | Re: Oil before/after labels? Yes, I saw your thread on the HHRs that you bought. I like your label too. If you think they need oil, then go for it. Definitely do them prior to labeling though. That should be much easier and you won't cause any damage to the labels. Be sure to dry them completely though prior to labeling and you should be good to go. Good luck. Quote:

But make sure they're COMPLETELY, TOTALLY, 100% dry before applying the labels.

Chips: 40 | | | Re: Oil before/after labels? My opinion would be to definitly oil before you label. If it was me and my chips, I would just use a rag and oil the edges and the face of the chip where you wont be putting labels. You don't really need to be that careful though, because if you dry them well and wait a day or too before putting on labels, they should dry up nicely. I can't wait to see pics of them labeled. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
