I have some here-- theryre printed on a Mimaki JV3 printer using cast vinyl-
then they go through a SEAL laminator using polycarbonate lamination-- virtually indestructable. Total inlay thickness is about 5 mil.

THeyre precision cut to your required dimensions.
Images are guaranteed for LIFE- they will not wear out.

I find them a bit more expensive then other quality images but theyre worth it in my opinion.

Somebody will chime in and give youa REAL unbiased opinion I am sure-
If you check in the chip review area on the compression molded chips I think there was a review also on the images

Re: Do you have Palm Imports Labels ? ;)

I have two sets of them . One 700pc chip tourney set and one 600pc chip cash set.

They are what Joe says, great and much better than vinyl without the lamination. They are more expensive and are very easy to apply to the chips , as they are stiffer with the lamination over the vinyl.

I have the PI solid and the edge spot clays that I put the labels on. They really look and feel just great, and I imagine they will last forever.

I, recommend them if your going to keep the chips for a long time..The little extra you pay now, will be very benificial during long time use of the chips

Re: Do you have Palm Imports Labels ? ;)

I bought two sets as well. But they put the labels on for me, and we used Wallsons. They came out really well. There are a lot of galleries and reviews on the PalmImports labels/chips.

Re: Do you have Palm Imports Labels ? ;)

I received some labels from palm imports and can say they are A++ in quality. I have always hesitated on getting labels because i was afraid of the ink coming off or smearing but these look really resistant. I like the smooth inlays more than the textured but thats just a personal preference for me. If you email Joe I'm sure he can send you some samples for a small fee. I bet this is a busy time for him but after the x-mass rush I'm sure he can help you out.

Again i would highly recommend PI labels.

Re: Do you have Palm Imports Labels ? ;)

Ok thanx to all of you there

my last question about it : I plan to label some Bud jones S2 series ... and then to put the PI label on the original label ....

Will it be possible ? problems with the thickness ? will i have no choice and have to order some samples ?

Regards

There CAN be problems depending on the depth of the inlay area- we JUST finalized new thicker vinyl for the ASM hourglasses- the first run is shipping tomorrow- theres some pics somewhere in another thread of the prototypes we did- you NEED to accurately mic the inlay area for diameter AND depth- or send me a few samples and we will mic them for you and return the chips- and provide you with accurate specs on what will work.

I believe Hogwild also utilizes a thicker vinyl for chips that cannot accept lamination due to the height of the inlay/lamination protruding above the chip- he is worth speaking to for you needs as many members use his product and I havnt heard of any disappointments yet.

Weve NEVER wanted to use this because we assemble thousands upon thousands of chips every day- our workers NEED the rigid lamination in order to make application a speedy process- we could never use this vinyl for our product. That said- for those doing their own chips and not concerned if it takes 2 hours instead of one hour- this new vinyl will work fine.

Our Bud Jones chips have a VERY small diameter so you have to have patience when you decide to label these IF you can get away with no lamination- the smaller the image the more flimsy it becomes--

Re: Do you have Palm Imports Labels ? ;)

Follow up: THe Bud Jones samples we received are 1.130 inches diameter and DO have a deep enough recession for our inlays BUT...
you must remove the factory label as the total thickness if you go over their label is too great and you will loose stackability
