Progen 80s and Labels

First, let me start by saying this site is awesome! So much quality info here.
I am a newbie to both poker and chip ownership (been ordering sample sets like crazy). I’ve spent countless hours researching the types of chips available and I’ve narrowed it down to a set of Progen 80s with custom labels (cuz I love Paulsons but cant afford ‘em right now). Everyone here gives props to Hog Wild (Home) so I think I’ll go that way too. Besides they do offer the best deal for Progens 80s. Actually, If I wanted to attach the labels myself I could save about 10 bucks but that’s 10 bucks well spent in my opinion.

A finished mock up of what I think they will look like can be found here:
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1.../ProGen80s.jpg
They may be considered provocative (topless women) so please use discretion I do not want to jeopardize my membership at chip talk. feedback is greatly appreciated.

1 of my main concerns is how the vinyl labels will effect stackability, shuffling and feel. I am also concerned with durability of the label. So if anyone has experience with Progens 80s and labels, please fill me in.
Thanks

Re: Progen 80s and Labels

Thanks! I was worried about the nudity. but I think it is done tastefully.
I was working on some designs for custom ceramics(BR PRO) but the samples were a little bit slippery and did not stack as well as the progen80s.

Re: Progen 80s and Labels

Nice mockups, you've got some design talent there! You might want to add a NSFW tag to your thread title, just so people know, as a caution.

As for the labels, they're pretty good. jdunford (member) has a set of PI wallson's and they're stuck on there pretty good, they won't affect stacks, they're nice and thin.

Welcome to the site! You'll be ugrading sooner than you think!

Re: Progen 80s and Labels

Cool...I'd be curious how they turn out. A friend of mine just got 1000 of the progens in the mail and I thought they felt pretty darn good for Paulson knockoffs. I'm only a Paulson guy and couldn't believe how good they were for the money. My buddy has a detached garage that he's dubbed "Garage Mahal" so he's doing a Taj Mahal graphic with a garage door in the middle of the Taj. Hopefully they'll turn out good but I would prefer yours....love them nekkid chicks.

Wink Re: Progen 80s and Labels

I've been thinking of buying Progens and label them with vinyl labels. I'm still concerned about how long does the labels remain "good" in progens. (Btw your chips look awesome )

The labels will be fine on chips with a recess, like the Progens.
