Step-By-Step Cherry Labeling (with PICS)

A big thanks to TBonesPoker for supplying me with extra 8.5" x 11" sheets of 7/8" labels The Cherries were purchased from beekeeper (thanks!).

Without the software template from The Original Poker Chip Customizer, I had to create one in Microsoft Word. Here is what it looked like.

Next, I put together some quick text to put on each inlay. Here is the printed sheet (note: I didn't use all of them)

These chips will serve a dual-purpose. The one side says "Bounty" and the other has a specific seat assignment. Before games, instead of drawing cards, we can flip over the chips ("Bounty"-side up) to determine seats. Here is how they came out.

BB, how did the labels stick? Are you worried about them peeling off?

Re: Step-By-Step Cherry Labeling (with PICS)

They actually look like they'll stay on pretty well. Not a bad label, actually. Most of the cherries' hotstamps are pretty worn, so I think the recommendation to use ones with heavy use is pretty spot on.

I should add that some of the labels didn't stick very well on the more minty chips. Those same minty chips also yielded a few spinners - so I would stick with worn hotstamps if you plan on labeling them.

Re: Step-By-Step Cherry Labeling (with PICS)

nice work. I have a tone of paulsons I was going to label. This makes me want to even more!!!

For the hot stamps that werent so worn down did you think abotu sanding them down? All the ones I have are with new stamps so i would definitely need to sand them

Thanx for the pics
J

Re: Step-By-Step Cherry Labeling (with PICS)

If I had a dremel/sandpaper, I would definitely bring down the hotstamp edges on the newer cherries. Roughing up the inlay area might even make the labels stick better (even though the adhesive is pretty good on the labels). Under heavy use, I would be surprised in labels stayed on newer cherries. Good luck!

Doh! Had I been thinking straight, I could have provided you with the template file which would have worked in the eval version of SureThing CD Labeler or SureThing Office Labeler. Sorry. Chips look terrific.
