Look at this thread for pictures of the problems I am having.

I have to agree with SOK here. I've had an order w/ Hogwild in progress now for over a month. Communication hasn't been the best. The other day I got an email from him that was supposed to be an updated version of my design as he was unable to successfully print my original design, well, the design he sent in the email was obviously someone else's design as it was in no way, shape, or form my design. It has been a completely frustrating and dissapointing process thus far. I was under the impression that he was the man as far as vinyl labels go and I was very excited to have my horseheads labeled, not sure what direction I'll be heading now.

From another manufacturer/Sponsers standpoint...
we get hailed as having good customer service- same as Jason- but this month--- if ya did a poll we'de be on alot of people's sxxt list- were hammered here with work and cant keep up which is why I am here till midnight tonight and probably all week-- I have loose ends unfinished for a few CT members- I havnt answered some of the emails I have- I have small orders on hold till we get caught up--this month----We owe some people some reprints on orders we either shorted the customer on- or basically just screwed up--
PI isnt as impeccable as we would like to be...

I bet its the same for Hog--- ya get your good days- and your bad days- but the bottom line is- Hogwild's reputation is solid- he puts out an excellent product as countless people here on CT will tell you-

Keep in mind that Hog and many other sponsers get stuff done fairly quickly for CT members MOST of the time--- and there are some of the big boys where ya wait a month- two months- three months--

Sometimes- even though it sucks- things happen- and sometimes things dont get done as fast as we like--- giv ethe guy the benefit of the doubt- he's done an aweful lot for this community.

He MAY just be having a month like we're having LOL

Re: Best custom labels?

GREAT POST JOE,

I for one understand the waiting that is needed sometimes. Our patience sometimes isn't the best, but our desire for our orders , chips, labels and accessories. sometimes takes control. We don't stop and think sometimes just how busy everyone else is.

I can say that, I have ordered many times from both Joe and Hog the past several years and "BOTH HAVE ALWAYS COME THROUGH" they have never let me down, nor do I think they ever will.

Both have great products and customer service, and we need to think about the preasures they may be under at the time, we have that great desire to get our orders fast without any problems.

Hog and Joe both make great labels for our Faux's Clay's. I have labels from both and they still look like they did when I put them on the chips as far back as 2005.

I am sure that Hog will get to your order as soon as he can.

Thumbs up Re: Best custom labels?

Just want to add my 2¢ about Hogwild (Jason) and personalpokerchips.com. I have always had my emails answered and promptly. I have gotten great personal service from Jason and I would recommend him highly. I have only gotten 1000 labels last year or so and am now awaiting a short run for some add on chips. The first 1000 labels were great and still look great today, so I have no trepidation about the new labels on the press.

I would be interested to know if anyone got labels from Joe at Palm. I know they apply a polycarbonate over-layer to custom labels on chips, but do they supply the same polycarbonate when you just buy labels alone? Just wondering about this.

Re: Best custom labels?

For the record, my post in this thread was/is by no means a flame towards Jason/Hogwild. I am simply expressing my experience thus far in working with him. I have shown what I believe is a very reasonable amount of patience and understanding. I intend to continue working with him and I hope that things will come out in the long run. Again, I am only sharing my experience. Is is what it is.

I didnt take it as such- I just wanted to try and let folks know- sometimes things go great- and some times they dont-- I wish folks could spend one day here and see what a bad day is like- and when I say bad I mean just from a busy standpoint--its probably the same for Jason- we're running a 25,000 chip order ( thats 50,000 labels) and mid stream the prints became blurry- theres a ton of things to deal with on a printer and we ended up with the machine telling us service call 0101-- and this order HAS to ship friday- fortunately we have 2 other printers- but ahh- you have to pray the colors are identical between machines LOL

I know Jason goes through the same grief from time to time--

Re: Best custom labels?

I didn't take this as a negative towards Hog either. I just wanted to say that my service has always been great as well the labels.

I have the Laminated Labels from PI on several sets of chips and they are great. I think they are nearly in-destructable and go great with a deeper recessed chip. They can be applied much easier than the thin vinyl labels.

They will not work on the Faux's though.

Re: Best custom labels?

Thanks for the posts Joe, It's always nice to know that we can say good things about each other in this Market. You are right, sometimes things don't go as planned and issues arise. Sometimes you have to let 1 go and keep the other 13 customers happy. Instead bottling up 1 issue and hurting the other 13 customers in the process. Bassvillan situation is a unique one for us and we spent allot of time and $$$ in finding out why we couldn't get bassvillans labels to print properly. So instead of sending out a bad product and getting horrid reviews on this forum, I elected to refund his money and apolagize for the inconvienence and move on to the rest of the customers that I had backed up. Playing catchup, I also elected to continue to help Bassvillan in his design to come up with something that we can both work with in regard to his design. Yes I did send him a wrong attachment with his updated design, At that time I had to send out 7 different proofs and he received a different design instead of his own. I run a 3.6 Million dollar Screen Print/Digital company Full time and sometimes my label business gets bumped X to X.

But the Chiptalk.net people of this forum do deserve "Red Carpet " treatment from me and Joe. I know that's our mentality and do everything we can to make you guys feel important every step of the way.

But in very few circumstances we fail.
Not a deliberate intention but a reality.
