I was all ready to order my new custom labels for my nexgens, but I'm having
second thoughts about what I put on them. Should I put my name on them:


or is it cooler to go without:


I feel kind of vain and selfconscious with my name, but it makes it totally, unmistakably custom and personal.
What do you guys think? And what did you do with yours?

I think "Viking Poker Club" is already pretty unique, so I voted "no" on the "Steve's" part.

And if you let me add another opinion, I would remove the "3d/embossed/relief (not sure of the word in english...) in the text.
I dont know, i always think this kind of text effect makes a bit cheap...

I voted to use your name.

They are your chips and they are labels so they can always be changed later. It's not like you have to worry about resale.

use your name- thats what custom is all about- YOUR chips-- your name- it goes hand in hand.
When you design the final artwork- IF you add your name- leave a large enough bleed around the text so when the images are cut and printed you dont run the risk of having part of the text cut off

Totally agree.
However if you are using these chips with the rest of your Buddies that are associated with a "CLUB" then you may leave your name out of it. But if you are not part of a "Group" and you play every now and then leave your name in...

The design looks great either way if you ask me.

For a custom chip, I'll always prefer NOT to put MY (real) name on it just to keep the doors open in the future if I decide to sell them ... BUT since you're talking about a labeled Nexgen, the choice is really up to you ... like A-Ro said, you (or someone else) CAN change the label later.

If you are going to keep the chips forever, put your name on them. Personally, I don't have long term plans for any chips so I won't have names on any of my chips.
