Ideas for labels

I'm about to buy 300 Nexgens and I want to label them. Problem is, I don't have a clue as to what I want to put on them.

I do know that I want to color-coordinate them (blue background for blue chips, yellow background for yellow chips, etc).

I think I want to do either a cartoonish theme, or maybe people from Godfather or something. Actually, I don't have a clue what I want to be honest.

Re: Ideas for labels

The best thing to do is wait and have it come to you. If you sit and try to think about it, then you'll have a hard time. That's what I've found at least.

Re: Ideas for labels

It's hard to help when even you don't know what you want. Think long and hard and something will come to you.

Re: Ideas for labels

I'm in a simular situation, try to think of something that can define you and see if you can apply that to the chip. Its got me wishing I had a cool nick name or something, ha.

Re: Ideas for labels

It's always hard to come up with an idea then when you do and start to design the labels something always seem to look better.

Re: Ideas for labels

I was in this boat a few weeks ago and then once I started with the very basics and some help from Blake and others we ran with it and got a wicked wicked design.

Some very general concepts that I've seen a few people design their labels around:
Location/citizenship and symbols- I'm canadian and have a beaver and maple leaf, another guy has a texas outline colored like the flag.
Family crest- theres one thread floating around with a guys crest he had made incorporating his and his wifes family crests looks pretty cool
School crest- another one that looks really classy maybe do your alma mater or favorite/local college
Favorite book/movie- saw one set with star wars symbols and another about some fantasy series I didn't know the books but the chips were cool.
One thing I would reccomend as recommended by others is do your OWN custom labels. Copies, and "tributes" are cool for awhile but having your own custom chips that are yours and represent a little something about you will never get boring.

Good points.

Re: Ideas for labels

Starting really is the hardest part all I knew was I wanted my name and maybe a maple leaf or beaver and it just ran from there. Just start putting some ideas together on paper or on here and you'll get lots of help.
