Are Slamdunk labels Paper?

In their description slamdunk says there labels are glossy, but don't say if they are vinyl or paper. Maybe i missed it but does anyone know if slamdunk labels are paper or vinyl?

The site is here: http://slamdunkimports.com

Also is Vinyl considerably thinner than paper? or just more durable?

Re: Are Slamdunk labels Paper?

I'm had some dealing with them and I'm pretty sure they are paper labels but someone else maybe able to back me up on that. Someone with more experience with paper vs. vinyl will probably be able to help you more on that subject also.

Re: Are Slamdunk labels Paper?

Yep, they're glossy paper.

From what I understand, vinyl will wear better as well as being thinner. But I bought labels from slamdunk and they suit me just fine. I only needed labels for a 224 chip travel set and went with a pretty standard design (teddy kgb rounders replicas) so was very happy with them.

If you're after custom artwork then there may be better options on this very site. But if you're after quick service, low price and the chips aren't going to be used every night then I'd certainly recommend my slamdunk experience.

Regards,

David.

Re: Are Slamdunk labels Paper?

Im looking for a cheap price which slamdunk offers but i want to make sure the labels aren't too thick as i won't be putting labels on nexgens (with a very recessed center) but rather HH with less of a recess.

If you can tell me which chip youre using specifically- I will see if we have a sample here and mic the chip and tell you what your parameters will be.

From memory, the ASM HH has a really shallow recess.

People have had success with vinyl labels in the past (particularly the rippedsheet labels: see http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/custom...rsehead+recess ). I don't think glossy paper would be thin enough though.

Might be worth emailing Hogwild (he has a forum here) who sells vinyl labels and see if his will do the job.

Regards,

David.
