Labels for Mother-in-law

I am going to get my mother in law some cheapo Monacos with labels for Christmas. She loves the heck out of Poker. I thought some custom labelled monacos might be fun for her. It would be a step up from her cardinal chips without breaking my bank.

Here is the design for the $5 chip. I had to put the denomination large because of her eyesight. She constantly asks "how much is this worth?" when playing with my Desert Sands.

I thought this would be neat little design she would enjoy:

I also have to figure out who to go with for the labels. I was all set to use Personal Poker Chips but he e-mailed me saying it would $80.00 for the labels. I thought it was 59.99 for 1050 labels. I don't think it is right to switch the price! I think I will have to go with Best Poker Chip Labels now. I have seen CTers that have oredered from them have been happy .

Re: Labels for Mother-in-law

Nice design, I like it very much. As far as who to buy from, there are many quality choices out there. I haven't priced labels myself, but I have dealt with Jason at Personal Poker Chips in the past and have had no problems what so ever. If his prices have gone up I am sure it is because his costs have gone up. What type of labels were you planning on buying? I know Jason's vinyl labels are more expensive than his paper labels so this may explain why the price quoted was more than you expected. You may want to contact him directly and verify what type of labels he quoted you.

Good luck.

I was looking for 1000 (500 chips) vinyl labels at 1.2". I can understand if his prices went up, and they still are very reasonable.

I did e-mail him to double check the price. Maybe he misunderstood my inquiry. I know many CTers have gone through him and really like his labels. I guess I am just wondering if his prices are more for 1.2" labels maybe?

Re: Labels for Mother-in-law

I would imagine the 1.2" lables might be significantly more than the smaller labels both due to the cost of the lable and the cost of printing - .2" times 1000 lables = tons more ink.

Re: Labels for Mother-in-law

If I were in the market for labels for my mther in law, they would have to be about a 4" diameter, or big enough to shut her up for at least an hour......

I think the 59.99 price is for 1" labels. I asked about 1.2" labels and he quoted about 80.00. I think BPCL is $.08 a label also, so it's going to be $80 regardless where you go. And that's for just one set. If you're also doing the backs, you can double the label cost to $160.00. BPCL includes shipping in that price, so that might help....

You are not making jokes when totally disorientated. Mother in law and poker chips on the same place? It is like the big fish, does those mothers in law really existed. I know I would like one.

Exactly. I emailed him back and explained that. Still gave the Free shipping for Chiptalk.net members...

Very simple explanation.

Removing foot from mouth:
I guess my simple mind didn't realize!!! DEE-DEE-DEE!

Jason, I apologize if I came off inflammatory. I completely misunderstood the website. There was only one custom label item to add to the shopping cart. I thought it was the same price for all three sizes.

The price is good. Jason's labels get great reviews. Jason is a sponsor. I think the choice is clear who I should choose for custom labels.
