my vinyl labelled fauxs have a lot of problems with this. they stick together pretty tightly (every 20 or so pairs), and need to be wedged apart with a fingernail.
some of the labels have become slightyly damaged from this effect...
I have noticed this, too, but it seems to be because they have been in the chip case. Once they are put in play, I haven't seen any problems. I take one chip and lightly tap the edges of the chips that are sticking and the separate nicely. There is nothing sticky on the chips - it is just the static from the vinyl.
I don't have any chips like those, so I'm just speculating here....
I doubt you'd have this problem with labels on chips that have a recess (like Nexgens), since you wouldn't have label-to-label contact.
On non-recessed chips, I can see where you could have a problem. Moisture could certainly cause this (even a small amount of moisture). Maybe if you get your chips a little dusty, then you'd see less of a problem.

Alright, I'm glad to see I'm at least not the only person. And it isn't often, just once in awhile shuffling a couple will stick, i just push one with my nail and they come apart.
