Thinking of labeling some dice chips for an auction
I've got a 500 pc set of dice chips that I've never used, and probable never will (I have two other sets). I was thinking of giving them to my daughter's school for their fundraiser auction, the kicker being that I would custom label them for the winning bidder. I have never custom labeled any chips myself, so I would be calling on the expertise of some of the folks here.
Some questions. What do you think it would bring in an auction? There are about 1,000 people who show up for the event in May, and they are pretty well off (private Catholic elementary school in Los Angeles). How much work is it to put labels on 500 chips? Are dice chips worth labeling? Vinyl labels or paper?
Re: Thinking of labeling some dice chips for an auction
IMHO, anyone who knew what they were bidding on would be turned off by dice composites, and anyone who didn't know what they were bidding on wouldn't need labels to bid on dice.
Vinyl all the way...dice don't have a recessed center, so better to go with the thinner vinyl label.

I don't think you need to even put labels on them...
I donated a set I won online to a local charity auction, and they ended up going for $75...when it's a charity, people are more willing to spend a little more just because it's a good cause!
