Has anyone labeled Super Diamonds?

I am thinking of labeling my cheap 9g super diamond chips, which I use for multi-table tourneys. I know folks here have labeled Faux Clays, which are similar, but is there a difference between them?

If you have, please let me know,

- what type and size label used
- any issue with stacking or shuffling (label too thick, etc.)?
- how does label hold up during play
Also, please post pics if you have them!

Many thanks,
G$

Re: Has anyone labeled Super Diamonds?

Well the Supers that have seen seem to have a recessed center, not much but a little. And with vinyl labels being so thin I would think it wouldn't be a problem. I had slugged AKQJ suit chips labelled with paper over a year ago and sold them and those labels still look pretty good! I am thinking the Supers would hold up even better!!

Re: Has anyone labeled Super Diamonds?

I have about 1200 of them. I have gloss 15/16" labels that I used for them and my Luck Bee Nexgens. I use the diamonds for tourneys and the Bees for cash games. I haven't had any trouble with stacking, in fact I think the Diamonds stack better than the Bees. The Diamonds are a pain to shuffle with or without the lables because teh edges are so sharp, but they can be shuffled. Mike

Re: Has anyone labeled Super Diamonds?

Nice job Megabit. Can I ask where you bought the labels from and where they paper or vinyl?
Thanks.

Thanks. My wife bought them wholesale at her last job (she was in purchasing). I can't recall what brand they are. I'll try to remember to look when I get home. I still have a few left. I'm fairly sure they are glossy paper. I like having all my chips labeled because it adds security and makes it easy to tell which are mine if we need to use more than one set. Mike

Re: Has anyone labeled Super Diamonds?

Ok, the labels are 1" Circle Gloss Majestick Laser Label from Coast to Coast Label, Inc

The actual size is more like 15/16"

I have about a couple of hundred or more sheets left that I could sell for say $0.28 per sheet. PM me if you are interested. You could likely get them for about the same from a online vendor.

Mike

Re: Has anyone labeled Super Diamonds?

Yes, I have. Used a standard 1" round label from Avery (will have to find them online, no one stocks them) It is finger numbing work if you have a lot of chips (I have over 5000) The only issue is getting them on centered (unless you have a friend in the plastics buisness that can make a holder that centers the sticker on the chip) and the stickers can distort the image if they get wet. You know from those pesky spilled drinks. The image thing might not be an issue with a laser printer.
