need some label ideas

I am think about putting together a custom set of soprano's or nexgens for my firedepartment to auction off at our wild game dinner which is a annual fundraiser every year. I want it to incorperate our initials FVFD and also some thing to do with the wild game dinner. maybe a logo like the texas trophy hunters logo or something like that anyone got any ideas please I have racked my brain over this. I would like to have some ideas if anyone has them by next monday...Thanks Jason

Re: need some label ideas

I'm presuming that you're looking for someone to do this for you for free rather than seeking the services of a graphic artist? That being the case, have you consulted with the members of your department or firefighter's association? There are usually a few talented individuals within most departments (or their families) who can address those needs and are better aware of those needs than the general public might be with a limited description. And because of the proximity of local resources, changes can be made faster and even the initial results are much closer to what the originator may have had in mind. Can't say as I've had any experience along those lines with a fire department, but that has certainly been the case with a relatively small police department in seeking out such talents.

actually I am just wanting someone to give me some ideas to start rolling with or just something I am having design block and can't come up with anything. I would like to have just somewhere to start. I have not asked them if they want to do this for sure yet, and I will ask them next monday night but I want to have some pics of some options the only mockups I have are the ones I want to put on my own personal set and I don't want them to use those. Thanks for your response once we get rolling maybe one of the guys can do this maybe not don't really know thier talents....Jason

Re: need some label ideas

Maybe I'm a bit confused here. Is this a regular fire department where everyone sees each other on a somewhat regular basis or one of those volunteer things where you might see each other once a month? I would have thought that you should be able to toss out your thoughts to your colleagues to get feedback.

I'd suggest elaborating a bit more detail on your thoughts if you're throwing them out here. Everyone here is not from Texas and may not have a clue as to what you're talking about when you reference Texas Trophy Hunter's logo.

Re: need some label ideas

You could have differnt wild game on each chip. Check out Mathew's chips.

Poker's a wild game... you could play on that.

You could use something similar to the trophy club but vary the skull.

Re: need some label ideas

I don't know how easy it is to label Soprano's - I just got a set and while the center is slightly recessed, it's by less than a mm so I don't think they'd hold a label well.

and as for an idea on chip logos - since you're a fire dept (volunteer or not) how about pictures of equipment? or say different hydrants? you can also always keep the same logo but put a different denom on each chip...
