Now that I have my design for my Nexgens I need some advice on what type of label to print them on. What is the difference between Polly, Vinyl, and Ripped Sheets? Do they all come in glossy and matte? What do some of you recommend? I’m not too concerned if one is a little more expensive than the other as what I’m most concerned about is quality, look and feel.
I used the Online Poly labels and was very happy with them. I believe that the weather resistant labels from Online used to be vinyl but they swithed to poly.
Vinyl labels are exactly what they say they are...vinyl. Ripped Sheets is a company that I introduced Jason to that will make custom labels from just about any material or size that you want. They suggest their polyester labels. They make labels for laser or ink jet printers. They claim that their poly/laser labels are the best quality, and waterproof and wear proof. I ordered their poly labels and had Jason print via laser on them.
Out of 1000, or so, labels...I have had 3 or 4 come off of chips through heavy play and shuffling.
The labels were applied to older NOS starburst edgespot Paulsons, with a slight recessed center.
Ripped Sheets will cost more than paper labels...but the quality of the label is better.
