Smile has anyone used these labels?

Just wondering if anyone has used these labels or not. I have 14g tricolor AK's and want to get nexgens but I wanted to know how these would be on the tricolor's?

Re: has anyone used these labels?

I haven't, but I know of a person who has and he was never able to get the things right, but he's also not terribly computer literate either. It's an expensive route to go, especially after you factor in the price of the ink that you'll end up using. And that is with the presumption that you don't run into some of the alignment issues associated with sheet feeding some inkjet printers.

Insofar as label products from online for use on chips, they're probably the most commonly used, though in more common use are the paper labels printed from laser printers. The laser would not be as susceptable to smearing as you might encounter from water soluble inks. I'm not sure if Jason (CinOs3) prints on the poly stock you might want to contact him and check (of course the cost of the labels would be considerably more, but they'll probably be worth it.)

Basically, the 1025 labels are fine and they'll work great on Nexgens, it is how they are printed that might be a question.

Re: has anyone used these labels?

I haven't used those but have used the polyester labels from online (OL1025LP). I just printed them out and am applying them now. They are the laser version and I used an OKI5100 led printer (I think Jason uses the same). They printed pretty easily. There was some creeping of the print registration here and there but not much. It would seem like the faster the sheets were printed, the more it would move. It might have something to do with the temperature building in the printer casuing a move in the registration.

As far as far as quality, I like them so far. I took a few and have tried to see how the labels hold up to abuse and they did well. I would stick one on a finger and rub pretty hard for a while on a semi rough piece of wood to simulate abuse and no damage.

Good luck on your labels!

Re: has anyone used these labels?

Yeah I have used them before they work fine ( iHave used the laser ones), I actually just ordered some of the 1.2" in that style for my new chips and expect them to work just fine. They are the same material as the ones they used to list as vinyl, just renamed to weatherproof. I myself would never try to do labels on an inkjet though, have a hard enough time keeping up with the shifting on a laser nevermind what you would get on an inkjet.

Re: has anyone used these labels?

I'm going to try it... I don't have a laser printer but I guess I'll go through a lot of ink for these. just posted my design on a different thread. thanks for the info guys!
