Question Need opinons please!

I work for card player magazine, and I currently run a 40-50 person tournament every 10 days at Penn State University. I have 1500 nexgens, but wanted a custom label, and Jason helped to design two for me. I'm pretty torn between them, so i was hoping that you guys could give me your thoughts on them. thanks a lot.

Personally I like the second one better... Not sure why, but I think it is because of the Nittany Lion logo... I think that logo stands out better...

Re: Need opinons please!

First thing First - welcome to Chiptalk.

Second thing - how about an article in Card Player magazine about the site?

Third thing - nice label design. I like the 1st one with Penn State written out. But, I would remove the $ from $5 and just go with a plain denomination - tournament set - right?

Matthew

Agree with Mathew regarding the $ sign. I would also use a "5" that was straight and not leaning (no biggie, but I think it works against the look of the text ).

So I say #2 with no $ sign and a plain "5".

You can't go wrong with either design though.

Re: Need opinons please!

My vote would be for Sample #1 - I like the Penn State logo versus the the Sample #2 with the photo. Cool looking chips!

Ditto, I like the second as well. Also agree with everyone else that need to take off the $ as well, if this a torney set then maybe you can use the T logo. Just some thoughts.

I don't think he has that kind of pull.
Card player has a new magazine out geared to collages and he is probobly the rep for that collage.

Re: Need opinons please!

i'm not quite that low in card player, but as he said i probably couldnt have that artice written, i am however allowed to write for the magazine, so when i get the time I will probably write up something about jason and the site. i agree with all of you on dumping the $$, im still torn on the two samples though. i definitely prefer the psu logo on the 2nd one, i just dont know if i like having 2 things centered on top and bottom though. not sure if that made much sense. any ideas on how to improve would be mroe than welcome

Re: Need opinons please!

Welcome to Chiptalk. I don't know if you've seen these, and quite frankly I couldn't resist ... But perhaps your employer should supply you with some of these
http://www.5stardeal.com/expand.asp?...164&subcat=116
and you could replace the label on one side to customize it?
