Chips: 1,728 | | | Faux Shaped Inlay labels Fooling around with some polygon shapes in Photoshop. Yeah, I know the colors aren't an exact match. I just noticed that Blue Chip does something similar with some of their inlays, like on the Fitzgeralds Reno chips. | | Sponsored Links | |

I prefer the faux inlay such as in the $5 Dunes chip: |

Here's something that you can do with a label. Quote: |

There are several casinos that apparently worked with Paulson during one period to move from the real shaped inlays (like Dunes) to less-expensive faux shaped inlays on a regular round label. As long as you get the background color to exactly match the clay, it's a decent looking chip IMO.
Here's an example of some I have from a Mississippi casino: (thanks to Chipguide for the pictures)

Chips: 1,728 | | | Re: Faux Shaped Inlay labels Thanks Tom, that's a good idea. Having the outline on the shape doesn't make it look as cheesy as a poor blend of colors to try and match the chip color. The outline kind of gives the message that the shaped portion isn't trying to masquerade as a shaped inlay but it still has that shaped inlay appearance with the round inlay. Quote: |

Chips: 507 | | | Re: Faux Shaped Inlay labels I've been planning on doing some inlays like these for my new set of chips (when I get them) for some time now. They look great if the colours match but come off as cheesy if things are mismatched. I think you can get the official colours Nexgen uses for its chips on this site (I remember seeing it around a month ago). Nice work.

Chips: 1,728 | | | Re: Faux Shaped Inlay labels I think Hogwild posted some color matches in CMYK for the Lucky Bees. I don't know how close they might come, you might need to experiment around with it a bit depending on the printer that you're using.
Other than for mockup purposes, you can't really use the images on the web for a color match as the chip colors don't really match the photos that you see on the web. I'll see if I can come up with an example later on with a web photo match. Quote: |
