New chip candidate for labels

Maybe a slight shudder, as I fear these may be along the same quality as the Jackpot Casino (non-coin center) chips, but here's another option for those interested in using labels, particularly those who were interested in a Giant inlay like concept.

Come to think of it, they look a lot like the chips that Palm Imports seems to push for their custom labels "that aren't labels"

In any case, they're only a dime apiece

Re: New chip candidate for labels

I think they will be excellent for giant inlays. Should be able to get some nice graphics on that size.

Re: New chip candidate for labels

I have 700 of these chips (prelabeled) with the Goldfield Casino inlay. They're a nice composite chip. Great for the price, stack well and have a decent sound when riffed. They should look good with a large custom inlay. Another nice option for self labeling.

Re: New chip candidate for labels

This chip would seem to border on being useless without labels. Unlike the Nexgens which could conceivably used without labels, I don't think there is any option with these chips. If the recessed area is truely 1.25 inches, I would think that the 1.2 inch label from onlinelabels (OL-6000? I think) should work well with this chip with just a little wiggle room if you can get the label perfectly centered in the recessed area.

MadeInDetroit - If you have time and a set of calipers, maybe you could measure that recessed area to see what the actual diameter is (since it's more likely to be metric than imperial.)

Re: New chip candidate for labels

I just picked up 650 of these and for the price, am quite happy with them. I knew when I bought them that I was planning on putting labels on them. They do sound nice, stack well, and I like the design. However, as already stated, these are not very good unless they are labeled. On many of the chips, there are visible dimples in the center area, a few have some color bleeding problems, and on a couple of them, the metal insert was visible.
I've got a set of the NexGen 8100's as well, which I'll probably label someday, but they don't really require it like these do.

Many thanks to PocketRocket for the pointer to OnlineLabels. I've been all over town trying to find labels to fit the 1.25 center of these chips, but nobody's got anything.
