Hey talktalk, on another topic, do you have the same problem that I have with my Nexgen that they can get scratch or marked up easily ?? |

Chips: 9,391 | | | Re: feedback on my first custom labels I agree with the other poster. Photos of professional poker players is not my idea of a great chip design. That said, you have done a good job here. I like the lettering around the perimiter of the label a lot. The assymetry is original and well done.
The denoms need to be larger and the same size from chip to chip.
Good luck and keep us updated.

Chips: 1,728 | | | Re: feedback on my first custom labels Looking at the design, it looks like the text might be a little too close to the edge of the label, and there might be some issues with alignment. However, if Jason doesn't have a problem printing it, you should be home free. The numerical denominations look a little small for easy readability, you might want to print out the images in actual size to see how it would appear. You can do that by cutting out the image of an entire chip and resizing it to 472x472 pixels if you're printing at 300 dpi and the image will be the actual size of the chip.
Insofar as the image selection, that is a personal preference thing, you should select what you want on your chips, I don't see where I should be making that kind of judgement. The design itself is very nice though, it looks good! Quote: |

Chips: 119 | | | Go with it Pro pokerplayers are the new 'athletes'. People buy baseball cards and wear named hockey jerseys. If you are a fan of these guys then put them on your chips.
As for promoting rich guys, it's not like they'll be getting any cash for this home set

i really appreciate everyone's feedback so far. i think i will get the denoms a bit bigger. as far as nexgen's scratching, i don't have my riverpoker ones yet, but the LV ones are a little soft and do show a little wear (but not that much) in my experience. i kind of like the wear anyways (character) but i've only noticed minor issues (not like pieces of the chips are flaking off or anything.) |

ungar, brunson and ....me! |

If you have to do photos, I like the idea of putting your own pic on the biggest denom. |

If you go and get a better set of chips in the future and want to sell these, you will need permission to use the players images, as you would be using there likeness to sell a product, this is the stuff of law suits. I might think twice about it, despite that it makes a good looking set of chips. Jason does a great job. I have a set of his labels. |

Besides, there's companies like Palm Imports that go around stealing all sorts of images for all sorts of sources and claims to sell them with impunity. If Palm and all the eBay merchants are getting away with it, what makes you think that they would go after a single individual who makes a set for personal use, even if he discreetly sells them. On the other hand if he's blatent (like trying to hawk them at a WPT venue or something), then he's just being dumb. Quote: |
