Need Feedback with Mock-Ups

I wanting to make some lables for some of my dice chips. I know dice chips suck, but I use them for tourneys. Now what I would like to use for my lables is my favorite beers as the theme. Now is that possible? With copyright laws and all I wasnt sure if this was something that I could do. I wouldnt be selling them just using them for weekly tourneys. Can anyone here help me with this? Thanks.

While you may technically be infringing on the trademarks of the copyright holders, it's not exactly unknown to happen with images off of the web. While you may be technically "at risk", in terms of practicality you probably aren't vulnerable unless one of your guests is one of the copyright holders . That having been said, if there are grave concerns though, your best bet would be to consult with your own attorney, rather than relying on someone's opinion off of a message board (even if they say they're an attorney.)

I'm no attorrney, but you can send me the beers you like and I can takes some pics. You do not have to bother with a return address for the beer.

Thanks Pocket, now do you think that someone would do this for me. I mean printing lables like Jason?

Re: Need Help With Label Idea

Yes there is something along these lines, there are several label printers that frequent these forums. Have you contacted any of them to see if they can serve your needs? Jason is CinOs3 and Lynbark is Lynbark Designs on this site.

Re: Need Help With Label Idea

If your using the chips for personal use you would be in the clear, if you try selling them o using it as a marketing ploy then you could be in a pickle if caught. Chances of anything happening with your own chips in a home game, about zero IMO.

Re: Need Feedback with Mock-Ups

I have been in contact with HogWild and he has come up with some mockups for me. I just would like some feedback on these. Good or bad also with suggestions to make them better. There are many gifted and talented people here so I figured this is a good a place as any. Thanks.

These are going on those "official casino weight 11.5 gram dice chips"

Re: Need Feedback with Mock-Ups

Print then out at actual size (1" per label) and make sure that the logos in the middle of the chip are going to be legible, they might be a little too small when they're printed out. If not, one alternative may be to make the logo about 7/8" in it's longest dimension with a 2 or 3 pixel white outline against the gradient background and forget the text. Come to think of it ... I don't like the text, it seems redundant when you've already communicated that information with the brand logo.
