More replica Vegas Labels

I must have too much idle time on my hands
Here's a set of mockups for the American Casino fans.

Could you do some Harrah's mockups?

Re: More replica Vegas Labels

Of the Harrah's Vegas property? Probably not, that design is probably a bit more intricate than I'd like to devote time to just for mockups. And as I mentioned with the other mockups that I did, I'm not planning on distributing any of these files (that's also why I made the mockups so small.) I may, however, use them as a basis for some other work in the future, but I just don't have any plans to go into the chip counterfeiting business (it's often been said that money is easier to do )

My selection in the first batch was with some inlays that looked pretty straight forward and would be easy to reproduce. The GVR one took a little more effort but was still relatively straight forward. Bear in mind that I embarked on this whole thing on lark just to see what I could come up with. Hope you'll understand that I don't want to devote a couple days to trying to replicate something that I wouldn't be using.

Now the Wynn tournament chips did catch my eye ...

Re: More replica Vegas Labels

I thought the Wynn chips were the best. The MGM also look good. I may have one of the custom label guys do a label set like one of the casinos from your mockups. Neat idea anyway.

Re: More replica Vegas Labels

P.R., I dont know if you've seen them, but I used the MGM Lion on one side of my custom lables. (After seeing your original post on casino lables.) Thanks for sharing. This is a mock up of the design. (NOTE: 1 chip with 2 sides.) What do think? (Sorry the pic is fuzzy.)

Re: More replica Vegas Labels

Yeah, I saw that earlier in another post. Looks good if the font is the one to your preference. Good idea of matching the background color to the edgespot color, and I like what you've done for the reverse side as well.

Re: More replica Vegas Labels

That would be up to the person who does the labels. One of the reasons that I intentionally made the mockups relatively small was so that someone doesn't get some stupid idea to fully replicate the casino's inlay image for their chips, though they might want to do something of a similar design for their own labels. I know that Jason (CinOs3) did something with the Palms logo and adapted it as a background for his own design. I would highly suggest that you not use a casino's exact or close to exact inlay image for your labels, regardless of your intentions as you never know when a poker buddy may have a lapse in judgement and try to pass one of those off in a casino.

And a real-life experience from the Dumb and Dumber set, aka "Darwin award candidates", a couple of bozos walked into a local poker chip store, said they were headed for Vegas, and asked for chips and labels that they could pass off in a casino . Guess they should have learned a little more about casino security first (or made alternate plans for an easier score, like Ft. Knox, or the Bureau of Engraving .)
