Pictures of Vegas Casino Label Replicas

As I mentioned the other day, I thought I'd fool around a bit with making replica labels of some of the Vegas inlays. Here's a few pictures of what I threw together on a lark just to see what I could come up with. Beneath each of the replica mockups is an image of a chip from the casino where applicable.

Also tried a few with the 2005 WSOP inlays, but they look like they need a bit more work.

Re: Vegas Casino Labels

Nice job all around P.R.!!! The lables look great mocked up with Nexgens.(I especially like the MGM lable.) Have you tried any with ASM's? Keep up the good work.

Nice work - those all look pretty sharp! I don't know if I could play with those TI chips. The crescent/off center deal would drive my anal retentive mind crazy LOL

The MGM chips are very nice. WSOP are pretty good as well. I agree with Austin on the TI chips, the off center would drive me nuts.

They would definately look sweet. But just to clarify, you do mean labeled ASM's right? There is no way ASM would ever make anything even close to these inlays.

Re: Pictures of Vegas Casino Label Replicas

Yeah I WISH ASM would pull that off.
I did mean self-applied labels.
Some mock-ups would be nice just to fuel the addiction.

Re: Pictures of Vegas Casino Label Replicas

Thank you all for your kind words of support. Perhaps I should have appended the photos to the original thread on this subject
http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/showthread.php?t=11474
to avoid any misunderstandings about my efforts on this little project.

Please note that there have not been any labels printed from these designs, only the mockups and the underlying files from which they were created (which can produce print quality labels.) Realistically, these may actually border more on counterfeiting than "replica" and without a doubt infringes upon multiple copyrights were it to be used for any commercial purpose. The exercise was more along the lines of "let's see what I can do with this" type of things. As I mentioned in my original posting, I have no plans to share the actual printable files, and most likely will not even use them myself for any personal purpose unless I modify them a bit more to distinguish some of them from the actual casino inlay so that the difference is noticable immediately to the untrained eye.

With regards to issues raised here ...

Labels on ASM chips - Labels are labels, they can be applied to any chip that has a recessed area that will accommodate the label. The design on the label is insignificant.

Group Buy? - Not a chance. There isn't a chip manufacturer that would touch any of those designs other than for the original copyright holder, even if they had an entire major law firm all armed with ten foot poles And, sorry, I have no plans to distribute these files (I'm an experienced business traveller, but I've developed an aversion to staying at the Gray Bar Hotel. )

Treasure Island's off set spot - That's the way TI designed the chips, I just duplicated their design. Any comments should be directed to the graphics department at MGM/Mirage

One additional note - I didn't notice it nor was it my intent but I just noticed that 3 of the 5 that I did were MGM/Mirage properties (!). No relativity there, I just grabbed a few designs that I thought would be easy to replicate.

Re: Pictures of Vegas Casino Label Replicas

Great work.

This thread shows why most clay chip manufacturers have restrictions on edgespot design.
