Chips: 439 | | Help with world lable??? Mission Aborted! Hey fellas, I'm new to the forum and I was wondering if someone would help me get the ball rolling with a lable design for a set of Nexgens 8000 Las Vegas edge spot chips that I'm ordering? (already downloaded free trial of world lable) I've been checking out some of your lables (very creative) and it seems like this is the best place to find help. I'm looking to create something simple containing "my text" & denoms. Any input on this will help tremendously. Thanks in advance!

You might want to contact Lynbark (Lynbark Designs) or Jason (CinOs3), both of them do labels and often assist their customers in the design, as well as produce the labels. You'll probably be much better off getting your labels done by them rather than trying to learn to do it yourself, unless you plan on doing many more sets.
And World Label is a secondary seller that drop ships out of Consolidated Label (onlinelabels.com), I don't know what you downloaded, it's probably either the Sure Thing Office Labeler demo or one of the templates. Just a friendly hint, (and because I've gone through the learning curve), there's a lot more to it than just downloading the program or template. Quote: |

They would have looked better done in crayon.
But I downloaded a photoshop trial version which was sort of user friendly
Got a couple better mock ups somehelp from the fantastic people on this site and I was off to the races.
Special thanks to Austin5string. |

Chips: 1,728 | | | Re: Help with world lable??? I'm afraid I left something out. If you're going to try this with an inkjet printer, do be aware that you may encounter inconsistencies in alignment that may cause a lot of label waste. You'll still encounter some waste with a color laser, but it shouldn't be anywhere near as much.
And if you're looking at trying to get someone else to do the design work for you for free, you might want to post some of your thoughts as to what you are looking for in your label. It would, at least, give them an idea of what you're looking for. Quote: |

Iactually happend to read that thread before he replied. It seems that I downloaded the lable print program. Now I'm looking into a design program, the one on my p.c. is a little sketchy. Thanks guys.

Chips: 1,728 | | | Re: Help with world lable??? Try Adobe Illustrator. It's a bit too expensive for most people to buy, but if you just need it to do a set of chip labels, Adobe has a 30 day trial version that you can download, it should be long enough for you to create your labels. Quote: |

Drop Jason or Lynbark a note, if you have a general idea of what you're looking for, they can probably get back to you in a reasonable amount of time with some ideas and you can go forward from there. You might also want to check out their sites to see if they might already have some artwork that appeals to you. Quote: |
