I am incredibly anal when it comes to the minor details of a project, and I would like to get some thoughts from you guys. I should receive the labels for my NEXGEN 8000 chips very soon, and my question is this:
Do you place the label with the edge spots at 2 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 10 o'clock or with the edge spots at 12 o'clock, 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock?
Not that it really matters, but what do you think looks better?
I think it's generally 2/6/10, but I've seen it both ways. Personally, I use 2/6/10 for the front and 8/12/4 for the back (if you're using different labels for each).
On the other hand, if you want that 'real' casino look, the just slap the on in any position (seriously), as the casino chips are seldom squared up in any form of alignment to the edge spots.

Yeah, I've got some real casino chips and I don't like how the labels are all haphazardly positioned.
I do have different labels for the front and back - I hadn't considered one side at 2/6/10 and the other at 4/8/12. That's an interested idea. Maybe I'll experiment with that and see how it looks.
I used an 8/12/4 orientation for all of my chips - front and back. I had started out putting chips on randomly but then I likes the look better with a particular orientation. Of course your labels will be different so it will depend on the label design and your particular preference.
