Hello all
I just dived in and bought 500 Nexgen Bees with the thought of labelling them.
My question to all you expert 'labellers' out there, is how do you clean (wash) chips with paper labels?
I've never owned chips befor so I don't even know if it will be a problem. But, I have ordered white chips as part of my set and figured that one day they would need cleaning?
How do you blokes do it?
Cheers

Well, thankfully nobody has spilled anything on my Nexgens. If something did happen, I'd probably try to wipe them with a damp (water only) cloth. If the labels started to peel, I'd have to replace them. Not much else I could suggest. Short of spraying the chips, labels applied, with some sort of sealant, there isn't much you could do.

Thanks Imthatguy.
I guess that was a pretty dumb question.
Let me put it another way... do chips get dirty enough that they need a good clean from time to time?
Also, what affect does spraying labelled Nexgen chips have on the feel and characteristics of the chips?
Does it take away that nice rubbery feel?
Cheers

First, how do you like the Bees? What colors did you get?
I have a set of the old Nexgens which I have labelled and used and they do not get dirty, as far as I could tell. They are labelled, and I did spill milk on them once, but just wiped em off with a moist cloth and they were fine.
I am about to order some Bees and I have noticed that they actually get dirty just from handling. I have been shuffling mine for a while and they are kind of black around the rim - I sort of like it, it reminds me of a used Paulson. Anyway, a quick wipe cleans them up.
Jese, I know this is just rambling, but a moist cloth is fine - just protect your labels with some type of spray and they will be fine.
Thanks Imthatguy.

I've had at least a dozen games (with 10 players) and they show no signs of being dirty. I wouldn't put my fingers in my mouth afterwards though... Spraying the chips will certainly alter the feel, I wouldn't reccomend it. Just be careful, or don't invite the slobs.

I cant forsee too many scenarios where you will need to clean nexgen chips, they are plastic so they wont absorb dirt or other chip marks about the only thing would be finger oils and that would take a whole lotta time to even start to be noticeable. Unless you are always spilling stuff at your games I wouldn't worry too much about cleaning them.

Thanks all.
I ordered 500 Bees...
150 white - being basically the small blind value
200 Red - Big blind value and the main playing chip.
100 Black - Higher value again
50 Purple - You guessed it, higher again.
I'm not having values on the chips so that I can switch from Tournament to Cash games at will. I'll alter the chip value according to the game.
