New chip labels for ASM's

Hi all first post
OK pretty sure I will be getting ASM chips. Still working on color combinations though. At the same time trying to find out what kind of theme to go with. I have an idea, but not to graphically astute <-- not sure if thats spelled right Doh!

Couple samples

First ever image post to a forum hope it worked ops: I think I got the otherone to work now.
There was another one but couldnt get it into the image shack thing, but it said Easton's Canadian Casino across the top and We have the nuts across the bottom. With a Canadian flag waving one way on chip and Canadian flag in blue and white waving the other way.And maybe have a water mark of AE my initials.
Going with a Canadian or Mapleleafs theme maybe.
Thanks in advance for any opinions or help.
Go Leafs!!

your ideas probably dont suck, but it is obvious you dont have a lot of experience with the designing. Neither did I so I took what I basically wanted and contacted Jason (Cino3s) and got his help working them out. that is probably a good idea for you as well as hopping on the ripped sheets group buy if you are going to be labeling ASMs.

Jason occasionally gets busy or has personal stuff, so if you cant get ahold of him try lynbark.

Fins is also an amazing designer and has helped several people get things rolling.

good luck

Sorry I didn't post anything when I viewed this the first time.

Your ideas don't suck at all. They do need some work, but it is a good start!

How detailed do you want them to be? You might start buy just using the entire Canadian Flag as a background. Then place your words over it and keep the Maple leaf blue in the middle. I am kind of wary of the flags. I don't have any suggestions right now as to where to put them, or if I would use them at all. Sorry bud. Other than the stuff I just mentioned I like the idea! Go Canucks!!

Just remember to print out a version of your labels at actual size.

When you look at a 1" label on screen it seems huge, but when you look at it on paper it is tiny.

This should help you to determine just how much detail you can have in your design.

With most chip labels, "less is better" IMO.

Absolutely, I second that.

Lynnbark is another good designer. Helped me out with mine a lot.

My only suggestion is that in the first pic, the lettering is way too small, in the second, kinda overwhelming. Might want to work on getting a good balance on that element. That's just one person's opinion of course.

Good luck! Can't wait to see how your design progresses!

Hey thx yall
ok I liked the sugestions. Ill work on the size of the type and putting the flag as a water mark or something like that in the background. This could take a while have to do it at work home comp has no design software except paint ops: So if I try doing it at home might get to complicated and either my head or the comp may explode.
Wish me luck.
Oh almost forgot.
Go Leafs!!

ok here is something a little different not sure if I want denoms or initials (AE) on them or both. Also could go with a couple aces in stead of the blue leaf.
What do you think of this chip is it getting any better?
The curve of the type is suppose to follow the curve of the chip, but im lucky i even got the type on the background Doh!
Any comments will be appreciated.
Also wat do you think of these colors: Chip color / Edge spot
Mandarin Red / Pink
Blue / White
Green / Lavender
Black / Orange
Yellow / Mandarin Red
