Chips: 39,028 | | | ChipTalk wanted for radio interview I was contacted by a producer of a syndicated poker radio show. They want to interview me (or someone from our "company") on the show.
Kinda cool, and kinda scary.
So... who wants to do the on-air interview instead of me? I'm way too shy! ops:

Chips: 14,783 | | | I actually made the local news last night - interviewed as we were picking up a little boy from Brooklyn to stay with us for 2 weeks as part of the Fresh Air Fund - where kids from NYC get to spend 2 weeks in the country with a host family.

Chips: 572 | | I've done tons of interviews- TV, radio and print.
No matter what I do, I still end up looking like a doofus.
Best bet is to go in knowing that you'll look like a doofus anyway, and no matter how you try to explain what it is we do here, nobody will care or understand.
Get a couple of "soundbites" prepared.
Here's my most recent dumb-ass performance on the news: "Price of Progress" http://www.wkyc.com/video/player.asp...id=35826&bw=hi |

Chips: 39,028 | | | They are loking for chip advice for poker players, not about the site really. What are the best, where to get good prices, etc. |

Chips: 6,883 | | | Nice shop Coleman! Your "We''ll just have to wait and see" line was pretty cheeky. Nice job. (sorry to hear about your shop though)

Also tell them if they have any clay or ceramic chips, specifically Paulson or Chipco, that those are absolute crap and and they should sell them on chiptalk 'cuz we're not that smart and will buy them at almost $.25 ea. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
