Chips: 15 | | | WPT chip color availability Of the crew I play cards with on Wednesday night, two now have WPT chip sets. The first person got his 300 piece set as part of a package deal. The main attraction to the deal was a pretty nice poker table that had a flip top - hardwood / felt. The second person got her 500 piece set as part of a package she won on a scratch ticket (kid you not).
Both sets have Red/Blue/Black. The 500 piece set has grey chips. The 300 piece set does not. The owner of the 300pc now wants greys but cannot convince the 500pc owner to part with any and is unable to find them anywhere himself. Has anyone seen WPT greys sold outside of a set?
Also, I'd be interested to hear what people think of the WPT's in general? I think they're a pretty nice chip. Simple logo. Nice edge design. Textured inlay. Non-denominational.... |

Chips: 1,728 | | I hate those yellow chips from any casino. I always get rid of them at the cashiers cage before leaving any casino . Especially if I have a large stack of them Quote: |

Last week when I got back from Reno I was doing laundry and I found 3 of these yellow chips in my pocket, I was soo mad, I mean they are soo ugly. |

Chips: 1,728 | | Your town is almost in the path of my route to Reno. I can stop by and take those yellow chips off your hands if you'd like Quote: |

Chips: 1 | | | WPT Chips I have the set of 400 that comes in the cherry case. This set only has Blue, Red, Black. There was a set of 1000 that included the grey chips that had the normal WPT logo on both sides.
Personally, I dislike these chips. They are all looks. When it comes time to actually use them, the are so slippery they cause many issues. You can't stack them more than 10 high without them sliding or tipping over. They are also not perfectly flat. They sort of bubble in the middle. Which makes stacking them even harder. The quality isn't very good either. Several of mine have bleeding from the edge spots. The best thing about the set is the cherry case.
I guess for the money, you can do worse. I would just find some way to spend a little more and get something that won't be disappointing.
my 2 cents anyway. |

We've played with the WPT sets 3 or 4 times. They do have some slickness to them. I think your '10 high' statement is accurate. I do think I've seen a small amount of bleeding toward the edges. I haven't noticed spinning but, I haven't looked for that. I'll check that out the next time they are on the table... | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
