Newbie looking to purchase PokerChips

ok ok, I know you all have heard this before. I just found the link to this site, tonight. I am looking to purchase about 500 chips, can spend about $50-$75, without wife divorcing me. Any suggestions ?

For that price range the faux clay chips are the ones I would pick.

Check out Discount Casino Gear: http://www.discountcasinogear.com/store/allchips.html

They have a pretty good selection of chips, some of which are in your price range and some which are not.

I have placed several orders with them and have always been satisfied.

Those two are lovely sets, might be just a bit beyond the price range he quoted for a set of 500.

For the price range you are looking at, i would go with the 10g Soprano chips that are reviewed here.. http://chiptalk.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1624

You can get them for $.09 a chip here https://www.discountcasinogear.com/s...ory24-120.html.

They also let you buy samples so, pick up a few (however, shipping will start cutting into your budget at that point).

i'd also say go for the faux clays. 5stardeal has them for 6¢/chip, so only $30 for 500 chips. Throw in a 500-chip case, a nice set of cards, and shipping, and you are still within your price range...
