How did you go about acquiring these? Did you just go up to the cage and ask them for 100 $1 chips? Any problems?
Good question. My parents will want to know this information when they go.
I am going to get the 1 - 25 as a collectors item.

Will work for chips! CHIPTALK POKER CHIP FACTORY
a relative picked them up for me. she said it was a little bit of a hassle cause she didnt know exactly how to ask for them. but yes, she just went to the cage and asked to buy 100 $1 chips. she told me the cashier kept asking her, "are you sure you want to take them out like this?" once the cashier handed them over, she just walked out with the rack in hand and it wasnt a problem at all.
I keep reading people post asking if someone had trouble buying chips and walking out. There hasn't been a single person that has reported having trouble. Safe to assume this is normal! They could care less!

either way they get their money. i think the thing that started all the discussion about getting chips out of casinos was the idea of getting chips where the denominations were <$1. in that case, sometimes the casinos are more recluctant to see those walk out the door because often they paid more for the chip than its face value, so they would be losing money in that situation...
The Casinos dont care at all. In fact if you tell them you want chips to keep as souvenirs some will look for brand new chips for you. I walked up the cage at every major casino in Vegas last month. Belagio, MGM, Luxor etc. I grabbed $1's and $5's from each of them. I told them what I wanted them for and most of them took the time to either get brand new ones or at least the nicest ones out of thier drawer. It's like going into a bank and asking for the brand new bills...they could care less what you do with them.
i think they are more strict with the lower denom chips like 25c and 50c ones, if you pay $1 or more a chip the casino doesnt care since they will make money off you. Anyone have pics of the $500 and $1000 wynn chips?
Does everyone like these new Wynn chips? I for one am a bit disappointed. With all the hoopla and money surrounding that casino, I assumed a little more thought and creativity would have gone into the chip design. Looks like something a 6th grader designed.
