I was thinking the same thing the other day, so I'm glad you've made this suggestion.
Is it worth posting some suggested guidelines for posting pics? To try and make the 'catalog' look more or less the same for all chips? In other words, suggest that people try scanning the chips at a decent quality, but scaling the pics down to 200 or 300 pixels wide? You want to be able to see the chip, but I don't think you get much more out of a picture that's 800 x 600 when the original chip is so small.
But overall, I think it's a great idea and would love to see pics from chips both old and new.
