mixing paulson molds

would one be considered an "outcast" if they were to mix their current paulson jb's with the newer paulson chips (pharoah, deadwood, etc)? There is an obvious distinction in mold...but the colors are basically the same. Only reason I would consider doing this is because of the 85 cents a chip price offerred by the apache deadwoods vs. the $1.15 per chip current price of the paulson jb's.... any chance of the jb's coming down in price because of the new molds?

I would have no problem if they came out with a white 25¢ chip, then I would probably want to buy a few hundred of them to supplement my JBs (I didn't buy the JB 50¢ chips, because 25¢ is much more useful for the limits I play). Right now I have some white faux clays that I am using for 25¢, but it kind of spoils things a bit mixing those up with the Paulsons.

i don't see anything wrong with that at all, as long as long as the denominational colors are consistent (i.e. all the $1 are either blue or white but not both). it would be the same as all of the limited edition chips that some casinos put in the mix with their standard house chips: the base chip colors and edge spots will all be the same, but some of the labels will be different or, in your case, the molds will be different as well. i don't think that the difference in feel will be so great that one would notice it during play.

I wouldn't have any problem with that at all. Lots of casinos have a mix of chips in their stacks at any time -- maybe regular Paulsons plus some special commemorativge chips with Giant inlays. I was playing blackjack last week at a place that had Pualsons and Chipcos mixed in.

That was my original plan before a string of financial bad luck forced me to sell the Paulsons. I was going to mix them with the Pharoah's, so i dont see a problem with it at all.

i'm not so sure about that. if the pharaoh's and those god-awful buffalo chips are retailing for considerably cheaper, i'd guess the JB's would come down.

it's possible...

I dont think it would be safe to assume that once the retailers sell out the prices will definately go up. Given the limited amount of them

the pharoah Paulson group buy has started $0.87 each or something, if your going to mix its best to get the cheaper priced home paulsons like these pharoahs or even the deadwood ones.
