Chips: 2,131 | | | Got My Paulson JBs Today, At Last! (pics and scans) Well, if you haven't been keeping up with the PJB group buy on the TH-P forum, I finally got my chips, despite PayPal's, FedEx's and UPS' best attempts at thwarting the whole deal. A big "Thank You" to Nugzy, who did a tremendous job of organizing it. These are an early 40th birthday gift from my wife (thank you, honey). Now, on to the PICS!

Chips: 2,131 | | | Thanks for the compliments all. . . as for the breakdown, if you really want to know. . .
Using a spreadsheet, I calculated the chip requirements for various "divide-by-100" cash game limits, using 10 players with 10 buy-ins and 10 rebuys. Limits ranging from 0.25/0.50 to $2/$4, and buy-ins ranging from $10 to $100. I then used the maximum for each chip value, and this gave me quantities for the $5 thru $1000 chips. Then I calculated the $1 and $5 chips required for a $1/$2 limit or $2/$4 limit game at face value (using cheap chips or quarters for 0.25 chips if needed). Putting these together, I got a base minimum required set of:
$1 - 250
$5 - 150
$25 - 250
$100 - 200
$500 - 90
$1000 - 30
Total - 970
(I then filled-in the $500 to 100 and the $1000 to 50 for a nice even set of 1000 chips)
Then I added 500 more chips in the most popular/used values, in a popular distribution: $25 -200, $100 - 200, $500 - 100 (this would be a set of 500 that I could try to sell if I decide that I have too many chips). Final breakdown:
$1 - 250
$5 - 150
$25 - 450
$100 - 400
$500 - 200
$1000 - 50 |

Chips: 2,131 | | Yes, it was from this group buy organized by Nugzy. He bought around 7000 chips from Dice702 (aka apachepokerchips), which worked out to $0.9288/chip including the shipping charge from Dice702 to his house. Since I also participated in his Casino-on-Net referral program, I got an additional $100 off my order, so my net cost per chip worked out to $0.8621, not including the shipping to my house from Nugzy's. But then I stupidly lost my ass playing craps on Casino-on-Net, but I don't include that in my cost calculation | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
