300 suited 11.5 grams w/ metal slug - as a christmas present from my wife.

She paid about $110 including shipping.

I'll never part with them!

Thanks,

Matt

started out with plastic many years ago, like so many of us. then used just cash for many more years, finally back to chips. bought a reasonably cheap set of dynasty chips nondenoms, but it was clear eveyone prefered denoms on chips, at that point started looking for a cheap set with denoms found the coin inlay chip set that worked great for what we wanted to use it for. but i really wanted a set of clay chips, bought many samples of various chips, and fell in love with horse head clay chips with a very clean style but were very$$$ so i started to save up for them and low and behold when i was ready for a purchase they discontinued these great looking chips with horsehead mold with what they said was a better looking chip[modern day clays] and to me they were just awful, but they also had a ceramic chip with a great design still alot of$$$ but great denoms&design so i thought on it a while found a forum by accident and low and behold a group purchase of clay chips by paulson chips. I have no idea just how good these chips are but everyone seems to agree on the forum that they are the best you can buy at the lowest possible price. So these will be my next chip set if every thing goes as planed, but you know what they say[ don`t count your chickens till they are hatched] P.S. If those Desert sands chip`s ever go on sale again i mite have to get them[ 2-500 chip sets get a third for free] geeez am i becoming a chipaholic hope my marriage can handle it other wise i`m sure gonna miss her !

Cheap plastic but they don't count because I don't even remember buying them. They just kind of appeared.

Next 500 13.5g chips (heavier is better, right?) for about $150 about 18mo ago. I loved them and I've used them quite a bit, so I don't really think I got ripped off.

Now - 1000 custom chipco's on order and prob going for 500 Egytian Paulsons after I see the final design.

It's like cars. I drive a bimmer now, but isn't really better transportation than the '70 Toyota Corolla that was my first car (and that was before Toyota's were nice cars). It is a helluva lot more fun, though.

My first set was 500 dice chips. Don't think I got ripped off, but I was so horrified by them that I immediately re-evaluated whether I want to pay $1 or more per chip.

Ordered a bunch of samples from a bunch of places. With the exception of the ASM samples, thought they all sucked. Ended up paying a ton of money on eBay to put together a couple sets of real Paul-sons.

My first chip set was 500 of the Tri-Color 14g chips. For some reason I thought the heavier the chip the better? I still have these chips and they are the ones used. I still really like them, but after getting all these clay casino quality samples, I just have a CRAVING for them.

I bought a 600 set of the 13.5g "double suited" whatever these chips are about 6 months ago. I paid $140 U.S. for them. I'm quite happy with them and have got alot of use out of them. I am definately looking to upgrade with Ten's Pharoah paulson chips though right away!

first set: plain colored diamond "clay" (plastic) chips from 5star. then a friend of mine got the dice hips and i thought they were pretty sweet (ya, i was a young poker chipper) so i got a set of those. we still use both sets for the tournies. i have the new paulson jb's coming via the group buy so i shouldn't need to buy more... i am sure i will, though.

First set was 200 8g super diamonds with a case for $60 from Games by James. That was 10 years ago. Just before that, some friends got a 500 set of Marlboro chips for free (well, not counting what their parents paid for smokes), that was our first home game set, and were actually decent chips.
