Yeah, sorry for the very large files. But that was the only way I could get a level of detail that shows the differences. I created these files for my "Clay vs. Ceramic" article here several months ago.

These are flatbed scans of my actual chips at a moderate resolution (200 dpi) and scanned at 200% size. Ends up as 684 x 2662 pixels, or about 387K at a reasonable JPEG compression level. I don't recall if I improved them with photoshop, but I probably did some minor adjustment to color saturation and contrast.
