I am such a chip *****.

I just ordered 900 of the NJ Desert Sands chips...well 600 and i get the 300 free. This set is tailored to the weekly ring games we play and at about .50 cents a chip including shipping and cases....I couldn't resist anymore.

I also am ordering at least 750 of Ten's custom Paulson chips..

I also have 500 custom chips on order with pokerchips.com, though they are more for my wife then myself. Haven't even gotten the first art proof on em yet, and it's been 4 weeks. This order was cancelled, but reinstated when we decided to go with these AND Ten's Paulsons.

Ok so maybe ***** is too strong a word.

Junkie definitely describes it...as it is like a drug and very closely resembels "GAS" (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) that I also get as a musician.

I mean..I have 900 Desert Sands chips coming...do I need them? No..not at all. Do I want them? Yes...too much =)

Once all is said and done my countdown will look like :

500 10g "Faux Clay" chips
900 RPT Nexgen Chips with Custom Labels
900 Desert Sands Chips
750+ Custom Paulson Egyptians
500 Custom ASM Chips

Do I in any way need all that? Haha god no...but man is it fun.

Total cost estimate? Somewhere around $2k....pointless! But fun....

I think '*****" isn't too strong, it brings the wrong things to mind.

A ***** does things for money. For example, a "bonus *****" who signs up with multiple online poker sites to get sign up bonuses.

A junkie is addicted to buying things for himself - especially things that he doesn't really need. I, on the other hand really NEED at least 500 Egyptian Paulsons in addition to the 1000 custom chipcos I just ordered.
